Synonymous with British craftsmanship for over 140 years, Parker Knoll is not just a respected stalwart of quality and comfort within the furniture industry, but also a company of significant innovation. In the 1930’s, Willi Knoll from Germany, patented an elegant design for a tension and suspension spring made from coiled steel wire. The company Frederick Parker and Sons saw the potential of the high levels of comfort this invention could deliver and struck an agreement. Founding a new company, Parker Knoll, together they set out to revolutionise the domestic upholstery market, and the success of their brand continues to this day.
Many of the company’s top selling models were actually designed in the 1930’s, but Parker Knoll have not stayed stuck in the past. They continually introduce new designs and add new colours and fabrics to their extensive range to meet the ever-changing demands of today’s lifestyles.
