Turn up the colour

Colour takes centre stage in this eclectic and mood-boosting trend. Vibrant shades of red, yellow and blue combine to create a chaotic palette that feels fresh and joyful. “Primary colours give this look real energy. Use them everywhere for maximum impact, from your walls to your accessories,” says Bana.

Unleash your inner artist

This look is all about getting creative. “Use your walls as a canvas to express your personality. Paint stripes, maze-like squiggles or abstract prints,” explains Bana. A white backdrop creates impact while quirky shapes and unusual designs draw the eye. Don’t forget to dot one or two pieces of wall art to add visual interest too.

Play with patterns

Bold blue stripes next to yellow checks? A mustard geometric headboard next to a red, block print wall? Anything goes! There are no rules here. “Cushions and bedding are great for experimenting with patterns” explains Bana. Mismatch two or three different patterns to create a kaleidoscopic rainbow of colour. “It’s unexpected details like this that instantly elevate your room’s aesthetic,” explains Bana.

Go retro

While things might be a little busy colour-wise, the furniture takes a different approach. “Mid-century furniture tempers this look’s playfulness with classic lines and simple silhouettes,” explains Bana. The focus is on functionality rather than making a statement , which helps the colourful backdrop stand out. Bana’s top tip? “Look for a sofa that’s sleek yet cosy, like Sofia.”

Keep it natural

Oak furniture grounds this look with a mid-century feel that calms the surrounding chaos. “It introduces an organic element that keeps the look from feeling over-the-top,” Bana explains. “Crafted shelves and occasional furniture create a warm and homely ambience that feels inviting.”
