The home of inspiration

Our top upholstery picks

Sofas are one of the first furnishings we think about when we move house, or redecorate. But which is the best sofa for your home?
Hints & Tips

Our sofa buying guide is a great starting point – but if you’re looking for more inspiration our Upholstery buyer Mark Reynolds has picked out his favourites from our Winter collection.

“I love the contemporary, high-end Deco style of the Jewels sofa. It’s incredibly chic and comes in a choice of jewel-like, on-trend colours. The perfect sofa for someone furnishing a first home, or anyone who’s bold and confident with their style. You can continue the Deco look with the glamorous Edna nest of tables.

I’ve picked the Lombardo because leather sofas work so well with the Industrial trend, and Italian leather sofas are the best sofas to buy if you want something stylish but also very relaxed. I particularly like its wide arms and luxurious arm cushions. This style of leather sofa works with Industrial style accessories, such as the Earth coffee table in chunky wood and metal or the angle poise style Finn table lamp.

Oversized furniture is so in style, and right now the biggest sofas are the most popular sofas. So for fans of large scale comfort I’d recommend the Chill corner chaise sofa which measures a full 3 metres across. It’s perfect for kicking back with family and friends, and the reversible chaise end gives you that versatility to swap the sides over – ideal if you’re moving house or remodelling.”
