The home of inspiration

Scandi Seaside

If you love that fresh coastal feel, without the sailing boat accessories, the new Scandi Seaside look could be for you.
Design Inspiration

Scandi Seaside evokes the purest elements of coastal living… natural light, a lived-in ambience and beautiful, pared back style.

The roots of this fresh, relaxed look are in Danish design. Scandinavian style is all about whites, shades of pale and natural woods with carefully selected accessories in glass, ceramics and textured fabrics.

Elmari Book Shelf

The best starting point is Scandinavian furniture, or rather furniture that follows the principles of Scandinavian design. An example is the Elmari shelving unit from Content by Conran, with its simple asymmetric style. Available in different widths, it can be used as a display cabinet, or even as a room divider. Pair it with the striking Gaucho ceiling light in white gloss metal and natural wood.

Another lovely piece is the Ercol Bosco large sideboard, with its exquisite craftsmanship and Scandi inspired detailing.

It’s tempting to go for a full on Scandinavian style sofa, with tapered legs and a buttoned back, but if you have chilled out relaxation in mind, you could kick back on the Touch three seater recliner sofa with its soft fabric upholstery in a beautiful grey.

Victoria, creator of the award winning blog and now business ‘Apartment No. 4’ has picked up on the Scandi Seaside trend.

Below are Victoria’s top picks of Furniture Village furniture and accessories that are perfect for this fresh new look, and in our ‘5 Minutes With’ feature she’s answered our questions about her interior style and design inspiration.
