Take the 10-seater Onyx extending dining table, for example, with its swirling golden marble-effect pattern on a laminated ceramic glass surface. The range also includes a roomy sideboard with sleek handleless profile, and fully upholstered dining chairs. Ceramic is waterproof and heatproof, scratch resistant, does not dent or stain and is easy to clean. Made in Italy by Calligaris.

Thanks to an ingenious concealed mechanism, it easily expands to seat ten in comfort as well as style, ideal for big gatherings and special occasions. The surface is finished with a luxurious, golden marble-effect pattern; the legs are made of solid alder wood in a choice of walnut, smoke or oak veneer.
It’s also the perfect table for everyday use. The top is made of 3mm porcelain, a very durable and stain-resistant material, bonded to 8mm strong tempered glass. The result? A surface that’s hardwearing and easy to clean. It’s also hygienic – glass neither absorbs liquids or releases chemicals so it’s a good choice for families with children.
