What you need to know

  • 2 double-door cabinets each with an adjustable shelf.
  • Solid marble top. Wood base.
  • Every piece of marble is unique and will vary in colour. Veins and pores are completely natural.
  • Fissures – narrow cracks – will be filled to create a smooth surface. Any slight opening in a fissure is completely normal.
  • Fissures do not affect the structural integrity of the stone.
  • Marble furniture requires special care and attention.
  • As a soft stone, marble is susceptible to chipping, staining, cracking, scratching and discolouration.
  • Marble is porous so spills need to be removed immediately to minimise staining. This is especially important with acidic substances like fruit juice, wine and curry.
  • Ensure that moisture does not become trapped under anything placed on the surface like vases.
  • Always use coasters and placemats to protect against heat, spills and ring marks.
  • Clean regularly. Wipe gently with a cloth dampened with warm water or transparent rubbing alcohol. Dry with a soft duster.
  • To restore shine and protect the surface, use natural furniture paste wax.
  • DO NOT use knives to cut food on this marble top, or use it as a work top, or place heavy weights on it or use acidic or abrasive cleaners.
  • Never sit or stand on a marble surface.

WARNING!

Furniture can tip over unexpectedly and cause injury. This item must be fixed to a wall using the anti-tip kit provided. Be sure to use the correct wall fixings suitable for the walls in your home. Furniture Village is not able to fix anti-tip devices for you. Seek professional advice if you are unsure.
