Softly does it

Set the tone with a delicate palette of dusky pink, mauve and plum. “These gorgeous shades create a cosy backdrop for quiet evenings and intimate soirees,” says Bana. Layer different hues together for depth and balance the look with a neutral backdrop of warm white or soft beige. Consider pairing a plush bed frame with a colourful bedspread and throw to create a serene and relaxing sleep space.

Flower power

Like a sunny day in a springtime garden, this trend blooms with floral motifs that play hide-and-seek amongst the layers of pinks and mauves. Wall art, cushions and textiles add a touch of whimsy while vintage-style floral curtains and artisan ceramics lend charm to windows and dining tables.

Elsewhere, real wildflowers and posies ground the look in nature in a nod to this look’s inspiration. “A flowery centrepiece creates a cheerful ambience that’s perfect for spring meals with friends and loved ones,” suggests Bana.

Natural notes

Rooted in the quaint architecture of storybook cottages, this look embraces furniture with soft lines and gentle curves. “Clean lines might feel too stark, so look for pieces with rounded edges,” suggests Bana. Turn to iconic British designers Ercol or our Stockholm range for crafted pieces that bring character to your space. Real oak adds a rustic touch throughout while rattan and wicker accents enhance the natural feel. Mix and match these organic elements for a space that’s grounded, warm and welcoming.

Accents with an edge

“In this look, feminine details are key,” explains Bana. “Little flourishes - like the scalloped edge of a bowl or the ruffled hem on a cushion - infuse this look with romantic charm.” Don’t shy away from introducing marble or ceramic accents into your space like handcrafted vases or marble coffee tables. “These thoughtfully curated details enhance the softer, romantic elements of the look.”

Make it inviting

There’s a real emphasis on shared spaces where memories can be made with loved ones. “Creating a casual and relaxed atmosphere is key,” says Bana. “Seating should be comfortable and informal - think a mix of cosy sofas and comfy armchairs.” Focus on designing a space where people can lounge with a good book or enjoy an impromptu gathering. Pile up cushions in soft fabrics for maximum cosiness.
