Bed and mattress care guide

Unwrap your mattress straight away: remove any plastic covering as soon as you can to allow your mattress to breathe, which helps eliminate any unwanted odours.

Don’t leave your mattress on its side: to avoid damaging your mattress’s structure, lay it flat as soon as possible after delivery.

Don’t store your mattress in a damp place: damp can damage the internal structure of a mattress and cause mould growth. Store it in a cool, dry place if you’re not using it straight away.

Air your mattress before using: most new mattresses release a slight odour when first unwrapped. Just be sure to air your mattress for at least four hours before putting sheets on.

Air your mattress daily: turn down or remove your bedding every morning for at least 20 minutes to disperse any moisture that accumulates overnight.

Remove all bedding weekly: we recommend removing your mattress protector and all bedding at least once a week for a few hours to allow air to flow freely through your mattress.

Wash sheets regularly: change your bedsheets weekly and wash dirty sheets at the highest recommended temperature indicated on the care label. Hot water can kill dust mites and remove allergens.

Treat stains quickly: make sure you treat stains and spills as soon as possible, using mild soap and cold water with a soft cloth. Avoid detergents and chemical cleaning agents, dry cleaning and scrubbing with a hard brush. And be careful not to saturate your mattress with water, too.
