How it all began

In the late 1980s, we opened our first store with a very particular mission statement: “To do things better—but most importantly, to do better things”.

And that’s what we’ve always done. Starting with the opening of the very first Furniture Village store in Abingdon on 19th August, 1989, our goal has always been to offer stylish, high-quality furniture for every room and for every budget—and make the whole shopping experience fun and enjoyable at the same time.

After all, where else can you shop for a sofa and enjoy coffee and cookies at the same time?

Growing nationwide

There are now 40 Furniture Village stores all over the UK, from Bolton to Brighton, Southampton to Stockton, and Gateshead to Guildford. So wherever you live, beautifully-made, gorgeous furniture is well within your reach.

Over the last 25 years we’ve carefully and consistently opened new stores, and you never know—we may be opening our next store in your town!

Until then, though, it’s good to know that our delivery network stretches even further afield—we’ll happily deliver to any destination in mainland England, Wales and Scotland.

We love our brands—G Plan, ercol, Duresta, Parker Knoll, Vi-Spring and more. We love the quality, the craftsmanship, and the classic style that’s forever associated with English taste and tradition.

We firmly believe that famous-name furniture isn’t just for the rich and famous. We’re proud of the relationships we’ve established with these great brand names—and the fact that it allows us to offer our customers best-ever pricing on some of the most beautiful furniture around.

Innovation is key

As well as lovely, traditional furniture, you can turn to us for up-to-the-minute styles and the latest furniture innovations. Like TV beds for example—surely the most comfortable way to relax and take in your favourite show! And our range of soft Italian leather furniture, Private Label by Natuzzi Group, features recliner controls so sensitive you don’t even have to touch them!

Thinking green

When you order something from us, you can ask us to take away your old furniture and put it to good use. Then, it’ll either be reused within the community, donated to charity, deconstructed to make other furniture, or simply recycled. It’s just one way we keep doing our bit for the environment.
